Description: When falling in love, every couple hopes for "happily ever after," yet few achieve it. Only a small percentage of couples on their twentieth or fiftieth anniversary use the word "romantic" to describe their relationships. It takes more than love and good intentions to keep the spark alive. This book ignites the spark. Zalmanek draws from clients’ stories, her workshops, and her own thirty-year marriage to illustrate these habits. Exercises help couples discover their Romance Profile and plan adventures.
Other experts have written about the work it takes to make relationships successful. Zalmanek shows how romance makes relationships fun.

About the Author:Mary Zalmanek has an MBA, but she’s more proud of her R. A. She’s a Romantic Adventurer, and she knows how to help you put the spark in your relationship. It’s not that she knows it all, but she’s learned a lot from being in love with love, and listening to other people. They trust her with their stories. Her enthusiasm for romance translates into a gift for helping others plan their romantic adventures. In 1997, after friends and even a few strangers asked for help staging the type of celebrations that had become the hallmark of her long and successful marriage, she turned her passion for romance into a business called Adventures of the Heart. She developed two seminars to teach the habits that make successful adventures possible. A one-day workshop called “The Art of Romance and Fun” is open to singles or couples, and “The Couples’ Romance Weekend” is designed as a romantic getaway. Mary also has a natural talent for creating events that bring people together, whether it’s marking life’s important passages or building camaraderie in groups. She’s working on two new books. One is about celebrating people and special events, and the other offers ideas on building camaraderie in any group, whether it’s co-workers, volunteers, or members of a church.
